Day 1Arrive Toronto
Welcome to Canada. On arrival at Toronto International Airport you will be met and transferred* to your downtown hotel (please book your flight to arrive before 8pm). After check-in you are free to explore the cosmopolitan city of Toronto – the cultural, entertainment and financial capital of Canada.
Two Night Stay: Sheraton Centre Toronto
Day 2Toronto - Niagara Falls - “Maid of the Mist” Boat Ride (FB,D)
Enjoy Niagara Falls, one of the world’s natural wonders. Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before enjoying your first, unforgettable glimpse of the falls. Board the “Maid of the Mist” boat for a thrilling ride to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. There is then some leisure time before returning to Toronto early this evening. Tonight enjoy dinner at your hotel, with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions.
Day 3CN Tower - Thousand Islands Cruise – Ottawa (HB,D)
This morning we have breakfast at the top of North America’s tallest building, the CN Tower. After breakfast enjoy a brief sightseeing tour of the lakefront and downtown area of Toronto. Travel east along the shores of Lake Ontario to Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River and Canada’s first capital. Cruise through the maze of the Thousand Islands, which mark the border between Canada and the United States of America. Enjoy views of forested islands and magnificent mansions, built early last century for New York’s wealthy families as summer homes. Continue through rolling farmlands, following the rivers and lakes to Canada’s national capital – Ottawa.

Day 4Ottawa Sightseeing (FB)
This morning enjoy an orientation tour of Ottawa, famous for its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip filled gardens during spring. We view the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Rideau Canal and much more. The afternoon is free for independent exploration of Ottawa.
Day 5Ottawa - Quebec City (FB,D)
Bienvenue! Welcome to the French-Canadian province of Quebec. Enjoy the scenic drive along the "Chemin du Roy" (King's Road), the oldest roadway in Canada. Visit Deschambault a quaint village along the St Lawrence River. The historic "New France Route," takes you to Quebec City, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spectacularly perched atop Cap Diamant. French is the primary language in this unique city, founded in 1620 as a trading post. Arriving into Quebec City this afternoon our guide will join us for a tour of Old Quebec including the “Plains of Abraham”, The Grande Alle’, Quebec Parliament Buildings.

Day 6Quebec City (FB)
Enjoy a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Québec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years. Traveling north through the rural and historic townships of the Québec province to St Anne Du Beaupre Basilica – the ‘Lourdes’ of New France. The basilica is a shrine to St. Anne and miracles have been reported at the site over the centuries since its construction. Many pilgrims visit the shrine each year hoping to receive a miracle. Next visit the impressive, thundering Montmorency Falls, which at 272 feet are higher than Niagara Falls. This afternoon is at leisure to further explore this magnificent city on your own.
Day 7Quebec City - Montreal (FB,D)
Leaving old-world Quebec, travel along the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River, heading for the quintessentially French city of Montreal, located on an island of the St. Lawrence River. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St Joseph’s Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt Royale. Montréal abounds with sightseeing options, such as stroll, bicycle or take a horse-drawn carriage through the narrow cobblestone streets of Montréal's famous Parisian-style historic district, filled with cultural landmarks, museums, boutiques, sidewalk cafes and restaurants. This afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Day 87-Night Gulf of St Lawrence Cruise (FB,D)
This morning farewell your Tour Director and transfer to the pier to board your luxurious cruise ship and check into your comfortable Outside Stateroom (upgrade to Verandah Cabin on request) on the luxurious Holland America Cruise Ship ms Maasdam and settle-in for an unforgettable 7 night voyage through St Lawrence River and New England.
Day 9Québec City (FB,L,D)
Today spend time in Québec City with a choice of shore excursions available including horseback riding, or a trip to Canyon St. Anne and a local winery. (Shore excursions at own expense).
Day 10Gulf of St Lawrence (FB,L,D)

Spend the whole day at sea, cruising the Gulf of St Lawrence. Perhaps be lucky enough to see pods of Beluga, delightful white whales.

Day 11Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (FB,L,D)
This morning arrive into the charming city of Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island. Plenty of free time to explore the city, famed for being the birthplace of Canada. Be sure to visit Confederation Centre or perhaps enjoy an optional tour to the ‘Anne of Green Gables’ homesite. (Shore Excursions at own expense.)
Day 12Sydney – Cape Breton Island (FB,L,D)
Having cruised around the northern edge of Nova Scotia, arrive into the charming port of Sydney on Cape Breton Island this morning. Spend the day in Sydney or take an optional sightseeing tour. Perhaps tour the Cabot Trail around Cape Breton Highland National Park, visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum on Bras d’Or Lake or visit the magnificently restored, 17th century Fortress of Louisbourg. (Shore Excursions at own expense).
Day 13Halifax, Nova Scotia (FB,L,D)
Arrive into Halifax this morning and spend the day docked in one of the world’s most beautiful natural harbours. Explore this fascinating and historic city on your own or perhaps take an optional tour to delightful Peggy’s Cove, perhaps the most photographed village in Canada. (Shore Excursions at own expense).
Day 14Bar Harbor, Maine (FB,L,D)
Enter the waters of the United States this morning as you sail along the coast of New Brunswick and past Grand Manan Island. Arrive into Bar Harbor, from where optional tours will be available into the beautiful Acadia National Park (Shore Excursions at own expense). This evening enjoy your final night aboard your ship as you sail south towards the historic city of Boston.
Day 15Depart Boston (FB)

Arrive into the lovely city of Boston early this morning. After disembarking you will be met and transferred* directly to Boston International Airport for your homeward flight (please do not book flights to depart before 2pm).
