Day 1Arrive Toronto
Welcome to Canada. On arrival at Toronto International Airport you will be met and transferred* to your downtown hotel (please book your flight to arrive before 5pm). After check-in you are free to explore the cosmopolitan city of Toronto – the cultural, entertainment and financial capital of Canada.
Two Night Stay: Sheraton Centre Toronto
Day 2Toronto - CN Tower (HB,D)
This morning we have breakfast at the top of North America's tallest building, the CN Tower. After breakfast enjoy a sightseeing tour of Toronto. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore the city.
Day 3Thousand Islands Cruise – Ottawa (FB)
Travel east along the shores of Lake Ontario to Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River and Canada’s first capital. Cruise through the maze of the Thousand Islands, which mark the border between Canada and the United States of America. Enjoy views of forested islands and magnificent mansions, built early last century for New York’s wealthy families as summer homes. Continue through rolling farmlands, following the rivers and lakes to Canada’s national capital – Ottawa.

Day 4Ottawa – Montreal (FB,D)
This morning enjoy an orientation tour of Ottawa, famous for its stately boulevards, imposing buildings and tulip filled gardens during spring. We view the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Rideau Canal and much more. Bienvenue! Welcome to the French-Canadian province of Quebec and the quintessentially French city of Montreal, located on an island of the St. Lawrence River. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St Joseph’s Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt Royale.

Day 5Montreal (FB)
Montréal abounds with sightseeing options, such as stroll, bicycle or take a horse-drawn carriage through the narrow cobblestone streets of Montréal's famous Parisian-style historic district, filled with cultural landmarks, museums, boutiques, sidewalk cafes and restaurants. Today is at leisure for you experience everything that Montreal has to offer.
Day 6Montreal – Quebec City (FB,D)
Enjoy the scenic drive along the "Chemin du Roy" (King's Road), the oldest roadway in Canada. Visit Deschambault a quaint village along the St Lawrence River. The historic "New France Route," takes you to Quebec City, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spectacularly perched atop Cap Diamant. French is the primary language in this unique city, founded in 1620 as a trading post. Arriving into Quebec City this afternoon our guide will join us for a tour of Old Quebec including the “Plains of Abraham”, The Grande Alle’, Quebec Parliament Buildings.

Enjoy a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Québec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years. Traveling north through the rural and historic townships of the Québec province to St Anne Du Beaupre Basilica – the ‘Lourdes’ of New France. The basilica is a shrine to St. Anne and miracles have been reported at the site over the centuries since its construction. Many pilgrims visit the shrine each year hoping to receive a miracle. Next visit the impressive, thundering Montmorency Falls, which at 272 feet are higher than Niagara Falls. This afternoon is at leisure to further explore this magnificent city on your own.
Day 8Quebec City – Bar Harbor (FB,HD)
Bid ‘au revoir’ to Quebec and cross the US border. Relax and enjoy the countryside while travelling east toward America’s Atlantic Coast, to the quintessential New England fishing village of Bar Harbor, Maine. This evening we enjoy a feast on a traditional Maine lobster dinner.

Day 9Bar Harbour – Arcadia National Park - Boston (FB,D)
Take in the natural beauty of Acadia National Park, with its dramatic rocky shoreline, beaver ponds and spectacular views from the top of Cadillac Mountain. Follow the rocky Maine shoreline south, stopping in picturesque Kennebunkport for a chance to soak up typical New England life. Pass Portsmouth, New Hampshire’s only coastal city, en route to Boston, Massachusetts.

Day 10Boston (FB)
Boston is one of America’s oldest and most historic cities. Begin with a walking tour along the Freedom Trail to view such sights as the Boston Common, the Granary Burial Grounds, the Old State House, Faneuil Hall and the State House. Walk the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill, one of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods. The afternoon is free for wandering in the beautiful gardens, visiting a museum or exploring the charming North End.
Day 11Boston – New York City (FB)
Travel south through Hartford and along the Long Island Sound we arrive in the exciting and Vibrant New York City. On arrival check into your hotel and the remainder of the evening is at leisure.
Two Night Stay: The Manhattan at Times Square
Day 12New York City (FB)
This morning enjoy a city tour of New York which includes some of the most famous sights of Manhattan. Catch glimpses of the famous skyline as you absorb the bustle and energy of the Big Apple. The afternoon and evening are at your leisure. Your escort will assist you in making plans.
Day 13New York – Washington DC (FB,D)
Travel south this morning through New Jersey, the GardenState, and cross the Delaware River, as George Washington did in 1776, to arrive in the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, the birthplace of a nation, and home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. After lunch, depart for the Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C.

Day 14Washington DC (FB)
Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I.Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the John F. Kennedy Memorial. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute.
Day 15Gettysburg – “Amish Country” Lancaster (FB,HD)
Start the day with a  visit to the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground, site of the largest battle ever fought on American soil, and the place where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous address in 1863. After lunch, head for Lancaster and Amish Country. The Amish people live in a world that stopped in the mid-1850s. Visit an Amish Farm and house Museum and see their 300 year old tradition of simple living.  Tonight enjoy a traditional Amish feast.

Day 16Lancaster – Niagara Falls (FB,D)
Today travel across the hills of Pennsylvania and traverse the lush Susquehanna River Valley. Then cross the Appalachian Mountains, and head into New York’s Finger Lakes district. Arrive in Buffalo on the shore of Lake Erie, follow along the Niagara River, and finally cross the RainbowBridge into Canada, where the thundering noise and mist of Niagara Falls permeates the air. Tonight enjoy farewell dinner at your hotel, with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions.

Day 17Niagara Falls - “Maid of the Mist” Boat Ride - Depart Toronto (FB)
Enjoy Niagara Falls, one of the world’s natural wonders. Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before enjoying your first, unforgettable glimpse of the falls. Board the “Maid of the Mist” boat for a thrilling ride to the foot of Horseshoe Falls.  You will then be transferred* to Toronto International Airport to board your homeward flight (please book flights after 4pm) .
