Overview:

 Nestled in the foothills of Canada’s Rocky Mountains, Calgary is a place where visitors come to explore the heritage of the Canadian West. From 8th to 17th July, the Calgary Stampede, also known as ‘The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth’, showcases the best in rodeo with numerous events, exhibits and diverse entertainment. The Half Million Dollar Rodeo is the focal point of western fun. Chuck wagon racing, midway entertainment, agricultural exhibitions and stock shows, the Stampede Casino and the stage spectacular ‘The Grandstand Show’ also offered daily. Join the extravaganza and relive the cowboy days of the old frontier.

  
Tour Itinerary
Day 1Calgary
PLEASE NOTE: This is an independent, non-escorted package which can be booked independently or in-conjunction with any of the Evergreen Coach Tour Itineraries.

On arrival at Calgary Airport you will be met and transferred* to your hotel in the heart of the city. The rest of the day is at leisure to further explore this world-class city.

Day 2Calgary (FB)
In the next two days we welcome you to the event most appropriately named ‘The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth’. Your day starts with admission to the Calgary Stampede grounds to explore the attractions and entertainment options. Take a sky ride over Stampede Park and get an aerial view of this extravaganza. In the afternoon at the RODEO, the best of the best saddle-up for a three hour ground shaking showcase of world-class rodeo action. There are Saddle Bronco and Bareback riding events followed by the most dangerous event of all - Bull Riding.
Day 3Calgary (FB)
Return to the Calgary Stampede grounds to explore the attractions and entertainment options. In the evening at the Rangeland Derby, nine heart-stopping chuck wagon races explode in an all out dash for the finish line. Chuck wagon racing is an amazing contest of nerves and horsepower - a challenge that ignites thousands of fans. Following the Rangeland Derby is the GRANDSTAND SHOW outdoor stage spectacular. For 2 hours, you will be dazzled by the lavishly produced and choreographed non-stop musical variety grandstand show.
Day 4Calgary (FB)
After breakfast you will have time to enjoy a final morning in the Stampede City before transferring* to Calgary Airport for your onward flight.
